Black Dunes Press was founded with a single conviction: that stories worth telling deserve to be published with craft and intention. Based in the Netherlands, the press operates at the intersection of epic worldbuilding and independent publishing — every cover designed, every manuscript edited, every campaign run in-house.
The catalogue spans from the sprawling AnunA fantasy universe to tightly-wound espionage thrillers and practical non-fiction. What connects them is the same ethos: precision, depth, and respect for the reader.

Rhys van Dael writes fiction that treats its readers as intelligent adults — stories with layered politics, lived-in cultures, and consequences that echo across volumes. The AnunA universe has been in development for over a decade, spanning a five-book saga, standalones, companion works, and an ever-expanding Atlas.
When not writing, Rhys is running ad campaigns, obsessing over cover design, or arguing with spreadsheets about ACOS targets.
